Weekend Workout Inspiration ~ Bootycamp

Photobucket
images via weheartit

Yes! there is such a thing as a Bootycamp!
I 'm really not a "Workout" kind of girl, too Lazy and proud of it but then again I have been neglecting my assets for far too long (meaning my little Tush) so it's Bootycamp for me to enhance and sculp some curves!

Believe it or not it's actually quite easy to grow a nice Tush. A while ago (okay I lied, years ago) I actually put myself through a little Bootycamp before and it really really worked! I believe I found the exercises in the Allure Magazine (not 100% sure though) and saved the clipping like my life depended on it!

I'm pretty sure I never threw it out, I mean who would trow away the key to a perfect Booty, right? So guess what? I can't find it anywhere! Luckely it's in a Womans DNA to remember everything that contributes to her figure... ^_^

There are so many Booty exercises online  for so many different results like toning and  firming but for me since I want to enhance curves and create mass, It's:

Squads
Step Ups
Dumbbell Reverse Lunges
and Hamstring Curls with a stability ball

So yes, this will be me this weekend... exercising...

images via weheartit

I'm busy packing for Stockholm Fashion Week! My plane leaves Sunday very early so I have to get to the airport in the middle of the night today but I'm totally exited anyway! Big packing decisions ahead haha Biker boots or dr Martens? or Both? One pair of heels or two? So far my color scheme is Black, dark Green, Navy, light blue, Camel and White, a bit like this Stockholm FW collage! I'm still doubting if I shall bring my Army Jacket too or only my Biker Jacket.. I should instagram my suitcase after my final decision haha

The Detachable, Studded and Embellished Collars aren't going anywhere just yet, they are here to stay a bit longer and blend in beautiful into the coming Autumn/Winter season! So yes, what better way to spend your weekend getting creative and crafty on Collars? There are so many DIY's so I just picked a few of my favorites for upcoming season!

Yes, the metallic collar necklace would be a bit out of your average diy-league but luckily for us it's a below $15 H&M piece! I actually bought the necklace yesterday and think it would just look perfect with about any blouse, top and dress!

Photobucket
Photo by the Cherry Blossom Girl

A perfect way to spend the weekend is on some Polishing, Laquer and shine. I always admire a perfectly done manicure, it's the finishing touch to every outfit after all!

One of the most lush manicures is the Cherry Blossom Girl's half moon manicure and luckily for us we can find her tutorial here:

Another Nail Magician is Shini from Park&Cube! Multicolored, gradients and motifs, she does them all plus giving us amazing tutorials of how to do them too!

Things to Do in the Weekend: Shopping the Blogs!

Photobucket
photo by Park&Cube, wearing Stylescrapbook x Kipling Camera Bag

Bloggers are quite the Busy Bees and I always love to spend some quality weekend-time browsing (and shopping) what they have been up to! Because some of these are good, really good!

Here are some of my recent favorites!

1) Stylescrapbook x Kipling Camera bag

The Stylescrapbook x kipling Camera bag is not new (it has been out for a while now) but I'm still head over heels for this clever and lush design! It was quite hard to find some online since most where sold out already but luckily I found some left here!

Weekend Play: Big Rose Blush

Photobucket images via; Igor&Andre, Karla's Closet, The Cherry Blossom Girl and weheartit.

This Summer its all about having a big rosey flush to go with a pretty natural look with just some mascara and a subtle cateye or just a dab of lush pink or ruby red on the lips instead!

Where I normally go for a very light shade for a very subtle glow, this Summer I will def up the color intensity just a few notches to give me a more intense Rose Blush!

I'm a big fan of Allure magazine's 'the 10 commandments of Blush' (also seen here) where you quickly notice that a lot of the commandments are about priming your face and using the right tools and yes, the right blush-formula for your skin!

3 Weekend Worthy things To Do {for your Home}

Photos by Paulina Arcklin and Tim Collins, Home stories and Deco ideas for magazines.

1) Getting Spring Ready

One thing I always do when I see editorials I really like is to look up the stylists, interior stylists and photographers online, most stylists have blogs, websites and/or online portfolio's where you can see more of what you loved about them in the first place! Paulina Arcklin is one of those Stylists I really like! I love to see her behind the scenes photos and love her eye for detail!

So to get to the point: Getting Spring ready by adding Green! Plants, flowers and green interior details! Plus add some Spring texture in Fabrics by using cotton and Linen!

Most fun to do, by far, is a Seasonal make-over by painting old furniture, wooden crates and frames! and totally a Spring thing to do because you want the weather to allow you to open the windows to get rid of the smell! If not, there are always Easter Eggs that will need some color too of course!

btw. How delicious do these Paint-Tins look as color accent? And I bet we can give them a little job on their own like storing Pencils in them!

2) Using Something as Something else

The best thing ever!
Take one object (like a vintage suitcase) and use it as something else: bedside table, pet-bed, chair, storage for books, flower pot (why not?) or you can start packing for a weekend get-a-way of course :)It's totally perfect for the weekend because here it's actually important that you don't think rational!

the suitcase is of course just an example but what about an upside-down clothing hanger for your jewelry or this DIY bedside table? Or go totally cute with a diy tea-cup candle

3) Storage? Why? Books, Magazines and Shoes

Why bother storaging magazines, books and shoes, there is no space left anyway and they actually look good when placed right! Plus you don't have to buy new books, magazines and shoes while still getting that same exiting feeling when they are re-organized and placed nicely on a shelf!

3 Weekend Worthy things To Do

1) Organizing your Closet

I'm not talking about a full-scale closet-operation but about placing favorite items for the coming week together on a rotation rack or on a shelf! Shoes, Bags, matching accessories, blouses, jeans etc. Some quality Closet time :)

2) Home Decor

And I'm not talking about a complete re-do here either! I'm talking about changing details; fresh flowers, changing the pictures in your Frames, re-organizing your display, book shelves and even pillows and rugs! No shopping needed (except the flowers)

3) Photoshop Actions

Maybe at first sight a bit weird in this list, but photoshop actions are really fun to play around with if you have some free-time on your hands!

DeviantART has an amazing collection of free photoshop actions, giving you lighting effects, vintage effects and about every other photo editing effect you can imagine! But it takes time browsing around and not all actions will work or give an effect that goes with your photos!

Below is one of only a few actions I liked! Download it (here) and open it in photoshop actions (go to your actions > load actions) When you press the little play button it will automatically run the effect on your photo!
