While in London...

A few weeks ago I took part in a fun project together with friends and bloggers Alice, Camille and Shini. Fellow east London brands Miista and Muubaa invited us over to the gorgeous Belt Craft Studios in North London where we were asked to style our favorite items for a video shoot! So many Miiiiiistaaas and so many Muubaaaaas, and to combine them, swoon! I had such a great day and I really love how the video turned out!

OUTFIT: My Esprit Holiday Look

A few days ago I told you how I visited the Esprit head offices in Amsterdam to take an up-close look at Esprit's "Wrap yourself in Luxury" Campaign. Right away I fell heart over heels for the classic items and looks like the suspender trousers, v-neck blouses and smoking jackets! Oh gosh, me and old Hollywood glam.. So there was no doubt what my Esprit Holiday look would be! To keep it all "me" .... okay... I lied... to protect me from cold feet I styled the look with glitter socks and I actually do really like it but to be honest I would change shoes upon entering the event, destination, party (everything indoors) to open toed heels, very high minimal strappy heels for that ultra-feminine finishing touch!

OUTFIT: Dip Dye and Two Tone

This is actually one of my own favorite outfits! I had been waiting forever for that perfect moment to wear my H&M trend white peplum skirt and what better way to mash it up with Muubaa's Dip Dye leather jacket and Miista's Two Tone Mia Boots? Oh, and I know... I had my crazy 5 minutes of the day haha and it became impossible to stand still for even just a few seconds to take a photo, of course I regret that now hahaha

Ai, belly exposure thanks to the H&M trend cropped jumper and H&M trend trousers combination.. and seriously I keep my belly to myself most of the time, but yeah.. here you have it...

But this post is not about my belly but about my new Muubaa S/S 2013 Dip Dyed biker jacket!! I iz in lovesssssszzzz!!! The jacket is not in stores yet but I promise I will give a big shout out when it is because the S/S 2013 collection is really really good!! Oh btw-ez I felt so smart wearing my Urban Outfitters glitter socks with the gold Miista May boots but that tiny detail goes mostly unnoticed now hahaha

OUTFIT: new Muubaa Shearling Biker Jacket

Ohhhhh it's sooooo cold! I managed to finally take some outfit pictures between days of snow and rain and I swear within a 5 min time frame my hands turned pink and then purple! My new shearling biker jacket did really keep me warm, I just should have worn gloves too!

I got the jacket a few weeks ago in London when I met the Muubaa design team at the Muubaa x Miista event (together with Shini, Alice and Camille) After seeing the Fall/Winter and some Spring/Summer Muubaa pieces I really became a fan! The sizes and fits of the Jackets are really perfect plus the designs and leather washings are amazing! This Muubaa jacket is my Fall/Winter favorite, just loving the shearling/leather combination so much!

No Same Dress Fear

I already posted my Asos Marketplace "No Same Dress Fear" look a few days ago but I really wanted to show you what the other bloggers who participated did, especially after reading the Brittish Elle article "The New Evening Wear" Basically the article added to my current Occasion Wear obsession where I am very intrigued by the idea of reinventing evening wear, the article called it beautifully  "the Downtown" effect where the old rules to evening gowns simply don't apply anymore (think the right matching accessories etc.) and while I still went for a short length dress the article talks mostly about the long length dresses like the dresses by Alessandra Rich and exactly that (Alessandra's vintage, one of a kind looking dresses) brings me to show you what Carrie, Valentine and Olivia did!

Carrie's Gold Crispy Taffeta-ish frock really gives that something special! I never thought I could love taffeta fabrics like this, and I never thought taffeta could look somehow modern and sophisticated but after seeing Carrie's post I'm all for seeing the use of these typical vintage fabrics again in these typical vintage hues!

Hello it's Valentine

I really liked that Valentine went for a bold Victorian silhouette! and I love how she gave the "downtown effect" a new meaning by matching the dress fearless with boots while keeping hair and make-up polished! I'm actually really inspired by the idea of just tossing all the Evening Wear rules out of the window by what she did, I'm totally going to wear gowns with sneakers, just because!

What Olivia Did

Olivia went for a longer length dress which she combined with flat shoes! I think too often we (Woman) feel obligated to wear high heels when it comes to occasion wear! I honestly don't think this look would have worked they way it does when Olivia had forced high heels to go with it! The Beehive, Red Lips and Pearls add such a perfect Retro Gloss to the look while the flat shoes keep that much needed modern spark!

hahaha so yeah, I was the only sucker who went for a short length dress but I did however (as also stated in the British Elle article) felt the need to do 2 things, I somehow had the dire need to cover myself up ("a bit sexy without being showy") and wanted to re-invent the party dress idea by combining vintage elements like the bow with lace with something modern and downtown cool like the heels and socks.

Me and Alice were on a mission on Westbourne Park Road, London and took some quick outfit photos, really quickly, like in a 5 min timeframe haha, luckily Alice has proofed herself to be an amazing Street Style photographer! As some might already know she's behind the London Street Style posts on the Miista blog which are really really good and inspiring but more about Alice and Miista later as our Mission was successfully completed ;) Anyway I'm wearing Blue again! Kind of like this outfit where I mixed it with black, to roughen up the feathers so to speak!

OUTFIT: Casual with a Twist in London

A very casual look while shopping in London! (do you know where I am? a little side-street right near the TopShop) I'm wearing a casual look (and flat shoes) since I anticipated on having to go back with about 10 shopping bags (no Lie!)

Oh, the Twist part in the "Casual with a Twist"; I emphasized this look on having a low silhouette, everything that happens in this look happens far far far below the waist! The length of the coat, the bag, the rolled up trousers, the socks and Miista Studded Rula shoes. Also this kind of silhouette styling gives a "body proportion distortion" that Designers like Marc Jacobs and Phillip Lim love so much! So basically by playing with the "proportion distortion" you create an effortlessly Posh "designer" look wearing H&M only!

COCOROSA for ASOS Marketplace

Looking ahead to the Holiday season and wanting to highlight their huge range of vintage and independent designer dresses, emphasising how simple it is to get our hands on a unique piece in time for the holiday season, ASOS Marketplace created a ‘No Same Dress Fear’ list with a selection of amazing vintage party dresses!

‘No Same Dress Fear’ promotes the idea that you’re not going to turn up to an event wearing the same outfit as somebody else (because we’ve all been there, right?) and I just love the idea of wearing independent designers and vintage party dresses! So when ASOS Marketplace asked me to showcase my ‘No Same Dress Fear’ Party look I got totally exited! I went for the Ruby Bow dress since I wanted a Winter look for cozy house gatherings (hell yeah, I'm talking about food and Chissy gifts) layered with a lace top underneath and some killer heels!
